Field Aquaculture

Due to covid19, this year’s edition of Field Aquaculture will be delivered online.
The course will consist of a series of online “Virtual Tours” of many farms around the world (see list and calendar below). You will not only learn about how these farms operate and work, but you will also learn how to produce a YouTube video mini-documentary of an aquaculture farm (i.e. video editing, screen capturing, animation, script writing and other aspects of pre-production, production and post-production).
The course will require you to interact (via zoom) with aquaculture farmers. In teams, you will need to make a PowerPoint of a farm, write a script, and produce a YouTube video mini-documentary. Individual components will include quizzes and a final exam. The detailed syllabus won’t be available until a few days before the start of the class.
The table below shows the “preliminary” list of Farms participating in the course. Note that not all farms have been fully confirmed. Also, note that some other farms may still be added.
